We attempt to give you the memorable and highly popular Markha Valley Trek ( Leh-Ladakh region) and Singalila Ridge Trek (Sikkim region) in a series of itineraries and related information that would follow soon.

Markha Valley Trek

Flying in to the Ladakhi capital of Leh, peak of Stok Kangri (6120m) is prominent on the southern skyline. Couple of days are suggested to be kept for acclimatisation at Leh.  We visit the colourful monasteries at Shey, Thikse and Hemis before setting off on a delightful trek through the Markha Valley. Our route leads by way of several remote and picturesque villages to the high Nimaling Plain below the imposing peak of Kang Yatze. Trekking up to the Kongmaru La, we finally trek down to Sang Sumdo and from there, drive back to Leh.

Singalila Ridge Trek

From the hill-station of Darjeeling, the Singalila Ridge Trek runs north towards Mt Kangchenjunga (8586m), the world's third highest peak.  Singlilla ridge offers magnificent view of the Himalayan range , including of Kangchenjunga and in distant Makalu and Everest. After exploring Darjeeling, we commence on a 6-day walk along ridge-top settlements of Sandakphu and Phalut. We trek to the high point of the ridge at Singalila Peak (3695m); after completion of the trek we drive back to Darjeeling for overnight stay, followed by sightseeing at Gangtok and Kalimpong.
